DIAMONDHEAD --- Dorothy Martin Jordan, 78, died Monday, April 9, in Slidell.
Mrs. Jordan was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Diamondhead. She was a founding member of Diamondhead Baptist Church, where she was an adult leader for Team Kids, a Sunday School teacher, a member of the church choir, the Women's Missionary Union, the Historical Committee, and many other committees, and participated in Vacation Bible School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton O. Jordan; and her parents, Felix J. and Mabel Simpson Martin.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela J. SanFillippo of Bay St. Louis.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis. (Sun Herald, The (Biloxi, MS) 2001-01-12, p.: A5)
