Bruce Wayne Williams, 50, of Danville, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bruce was born on July 23, 1958 in Danville, the son of Virgil and Helen (Baker) Williams. He is survived by his mother- Helen Castillo of Danville; three brothers- Richard (Julie) Williams of Gibson City, Illinois, Terry Williams and Virgil "Pete" Williams of Danville; three sisters- Rose Williams of Manito, Illinois, Melissa Castillo of Danville and Melinda (Terry) Sandlin of Tipton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-Virgil Williams, step-father Carlos Castillo, grandparents and one niece- Carmen Espinoza.
Bruce was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church in Danville. He enjoyed writing poetry, wood burning, fishing and doing anything with crafts. He loved being in the ministry and being with his family.
A Celebration of the Life of Bruce Wayne Williams will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Danville, with Willie Smith officiating. Per Bruce's wishes he will be cremated. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
