OBITUARY Iron River Reporter July 8 1987 “Obituaries: Steve Javoroski”
IRON RIVER – Steve Javoroski, 82, of 1433 River Ave., died June 30 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 2, 1904 in Iron River and was a lifelong resident of the area, attending the Bates school. He was employed by the Layne Northwest Wells & Pumps until his retirement in 1969. He was married to the former Doris Olsen.
He is survived by his wife Doris; two sons, Robert of Juneau, Wis. and Peter of Houghton Lake; a daughter Leslie Davis of Whitefish, Mont.; five brothers, Ed of Klamath Falls, Ore., Leonard of Crystal Falls, and Walter, Rudy and Martin, all of Iron River; three sisters, Lucille Goheen of West Bend, Ore., Anne Federhart of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Lorraine Roscoe [Rascoe] of Dallas, Texas; and seven grandsons.
Visitation was held July 2 at the Brooks-Langenberg Funeral Home in Iron River.
Services were held July 3 at First Baptist Church in Iron River with the Rev. Michael Rucinski, pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Crystal Falls, officiating.
Pallbearers were Lionel Ask, Russell Wernholm, Royal Hazel, Howard Wilkins, Ernest Remondini and Archie Rowell. Soloists Nadine Dye and Arlene Rucinski were accompanied by organist Pearl Erickson in “Because He Lives” and “My Home Sweet Home.”
Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery.
