Gilman W. Modesitt, 76, of Route 53, died at 3 a.m. Sunday in Union Hospital. He was a retired industrial arts teacher at Sarah Scott Junior High School. He was born June 25, 1913, in Harrison Township to Charles C. Modesitt and Agnes White Modesitt. Survivors include his wife, Erma Liffick Modesitt; two brothers, Charles C. of Terre Haute and Dale of Bloomington; one sister Margaret Stoker of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. He studied with Jehovah Witnesses and was builder, owner and operator of US.S. 41, North Mobile Home Park. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday in DeBaun Funeral Home. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 10 a.m. to services.
