He was born Sept 23, 1848, in Guernsey County, an son of Jacob and Eliza Marlatt. He was married to Margaret Blair in 1872. He was a member of hte Hopewell M. E. Church.
Besides Mrs. Taylor four daughters, 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Mt. Hermon church. Burial will be in the church cemetery."
