Duane Orson Ballard ""Together Again""

Duane Orson Ballard, 89, died April 25, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

Born March 23, 1909 in South Cottonwood, Utah to Henry Vincent and Annie Eliza Thompson Ballard. Married Ione Davis on August 20, 1932 in Farmington, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1946. She died November 20, 1993.He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as ward and stake Music Director and stake Chorus Director for many years. Duane was a machinist during World War II. He played trombone and sang professionally in the big dance bands of the area. He was a life insurance and musical instrument salesperson and taught trombone and trumpet lessons most of his life. He also played in the Salt Lake Post Office Band and Capital Glass Engish Brass Band.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 30, 1998 at 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake 31st Ward, 1078 South McClelland Avenue, where friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
