Dies In Bland
Robert Hutsel Kitts, 87, Bland County, died Tuesday morning at his home following an extended illness.

Born in Bland County Sept. 10, 1874, the son of the late Jacob and Cynthia Wyrick Kitts and preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Davis Kitts. He was Bland county's oldest merchant, having been in business for over 60 years and he was postmaster of Long Spur for 39 years. He was also a prominent farmer.

He is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Ethel Davis, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Gilford Davis, all of Long Spur; Mrs. Carl Newberry, Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Dewey Millirons of Pontiac, Mich.; and Mrs. Calvin Lucas, Tray, Mich. Also 26 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm from the Goshen Methodist church with interment to follow in the Goshen Cemetery.

The body will be removed from Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home to the residence this afternoon to remain until one hour before the service.
