Former Geraldine Resident, Roscoe Peet, Died Thursday
Roscoe Peet, 69, former resident of Geraldine, died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 2, 1975, at his Great Falls home of an apparent heart attack. He had a heart attack six years ago but had seemed in good health in visits to this area.
Mr. Peet was born at Martelle, Iowa, and attended college in Iowa before coming to Montana in 1927. He worked as a carpenter at Geraldine until he moved to Great Falls in 1946. There he was a self-employed painting contractor and well driller, continuing that work after establishing the Peet Septic Tank Service in 1954. He retired in 1970, the business being continued by a son.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Michael and Dennis Peet of Great Falls, and a sister, Gail Kost, Martelle, Iowa.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday morning in the veterans section of Highland cemetery in Great Falls. He entered service from Chouteau county, Sept. 1, 1942.
