Bonita A. Kifer, 38, beloved mother, wife and student of YTI, died Wednesday at home in Williamsburg RR 1, after an extended fight with breast cancer. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Geraldine M. Hicks. She married Michael W. Kifer, July 15, 2006, in Williamsburg. Surviving are her husband; two daughters: Kishia Hoover and Teayana Gaumer; two sons: Chevy Stewart and Hayden Kifer; stepson, Joshua Kifer; grandson, Amiri; expected grandson, Carter; brothers: Ronald Hicks, James Hicks, Craig Walters and Michael Walters; and sisters: Anita Black and Della Walters. Mrs. Kifer was a student at YTI School of Altoona. She also assisted her husband, Mike, in the operations of Kifer's Tree Service. She attended Williamsburg High School and later received her GED. Mrs. Kifer loved spending time at 'their mountain,' planting and growing flowers, spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends. Bolger Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
