Johnny was born in Agat, Guam and lived there all of his life. until he enlisted in the US Army.
Arriving in Vietnam 1 December 1966, Johnny was assigned to 1st Platoon of B Company, 5th Battalion, 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, USARV. Johnny was riding on a (APC) armored personnel carrier that hit a hostile land mine and overturned over in the water. He died as a result of fragmentation wounds to the body.
Johnny served his country for 8 years.
Survived by his wife, Rosline Quenga, his 3 sons and 2 daughters of 4823-3 Ellis Heights, Fort Riley, Kansas and his mother, Josefa Cruz Quenga of Agat, Guam.
Awarded the Bronze Star Medal (Merit) and Purple Heart.
His father Joseph Blas Quenga was deceased.
