John L. MIECH
Born Dec. 8, 1914, in Kooi to Joe and Anna MIECH, John MIECH grew up and attended school in Sheridan County. He married Maxine KINNISON on July 16, 1939, in Hardin, Mont. She died in 1970.
He married Rosemary REYNOLDS on March 6, 1973, in Buffalo. They ranched in Parkman and owned and operated the NU Supper Club in Ranchester.
Mr. MIECH also worked for Big Horn Coal before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Sheridan Elks Lodge.
He was preceeded in death by a brother, Joe MIECH, and two sisters, Mary POWERS and Albena KOBIELUSZ.
Survivors include a son, Jack MIECH, Dayton; two Daughters, Barbara SOUTH, Miles City, Mont., and Diane DEMPSTER, Parkman; three brothers, Mike and George MIECH, both of Sheridan, and Edward MIECH, Ulm; four sisters, Anna KUMOR and Rose LINTON, both of Sheridan; Edna FRY, Malibu, Calif., and Mabel ROTHWELL, Cheyenne; his stepmother, Anna SIKORA, Sheridan; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services for John MIECH are 1 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Elks Lodge officiating. Memorials may benefit Sheridan Elks Cemetery Fund or donor's choice.
