A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 at First Baptist Church, Mendota with Rev. Tim Kaiser officiating. Private burial will be at a later date at Wyoming Cemetery, Paw Paw. There is no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Mr. Clausen was born Dec. 17, 1968 in DeKalb to James Bruce and Judy Kay (Dewey) Clausen. He married Lisa Ann Baker on June 27, 2007 at Lake Park in Mendota.
Survivors include his wife of Mendota; four children, Michael, Megan, Riley and Virginia, all at home; his mother of Mendota; one sister, Angela (Mark) McGowan of Herrin; his mother-in-law, Donna Rose of Mendota; one brother-in-law, Steven Rose of Mendota; one sister-in-law, Nikki Rose of Cherry; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Mr. Clausen was a 1987 graduate of Mendota High School and was employed as a machinist by Caterpillar, Inc. in Montgomery since 1994. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed model cars, sketching, drafting, reading and spending time with his family.
