Mrs. Mary Minot Greene, widow of the late Admiral Theo. P. Greene, U.S. N., died Monday morning at the home of her son, Rev. F. W. Greene in West Parish. Mrs. Greene was born in Jaffrey, N.H. Feb. 24, 1823, being the daughter of Hon. William Ainsworth and granddaughter of Rev. Laban Ainsworth for 78 years pastor of the church in Jaffrey. She was married in the year 1849 to the late Theo. P. Greene.
Mrs. Greene will be remembered by her many friends here and also in Jaffrey, for her many acts of kindness and her readiness to help, in any way that she could, those who were in need. She leaves one son, Rev. F. W. Greene, to mourn the loss of a kind and thoughtful mother.
The funeral services were held at the West Church parsonage Wednesday morning, Rev. Geo. L. Walker, pastor of the Central church, Hartford, Conn. officiating. Interment at Jaffrey, N.H.
