HURT died aged 45 years of cancer and was buried 21 MAY 1865, as a non-resident of Columbus, Georgia (from "January, February, March, April, May, June 1865, report of the Sexton," dated 03 JUL 1865). The sexton at the time was Robert Thomas SIMONS.
