MERLE A. MARSHALL, 83

Merle A. Marshall, 83, of Donna Kay Rest Home, 16 Marble St., died yesterday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Hahnemann.

She leaves no immediate relatives. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Marshall, and lived here all her life.

She graduated from a local high school.

Miss Marshall was head cashier for many years at the former Crompton & Knowles Corp. plant here, retiring in 1971. She once traveled in Europe as an actress and singer.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to a charity of one's choice. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., is directing arrangements.
