Jessie Lee Gray, 87, of Batesville, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at his residence of heart failure.
Services were Thursday at Victory Baptist Church in Courtland. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Rev. E.K. Gordon officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Gray, born, Jan. 18, 1917, to the late Willie and late Annie Lolly Gray, was a retired farmer and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his companion Virginia Beard Duke of Batesville; two daughters, Pam Gray Brown of Southaven and Mary Gray Stanley of Marshal, Mo.; two sons, Ernest Lee Gray of Moore, Okla. and Robert Thomas Gray of Cordova, Tenn.; two step-sons, Johnny Duke of Courtland and Charlie Duke of Pope; one step-daughter Cynthia Frederick of Courtland; one sister Irene Fowler of Memphis; a half-brother Albert Gray of Batesville; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
