May was 17 and a beautiful woman when she married a sheep rancher, Amos Hyrum Marsden on Feb 3, 1892 in American Fork. They had 7 children (Vera, Donald, Howard, Louis, Amos, Gladys & Baby Marsden). Only 4 survived to adulthood.
The family went to Wyoming each year for lambing season in the summer. They also traveled to St. Louis to sell the lambs.
May died from typhoid fever a year after the birth of her last child (Louis) in 1905.
May's mom Sarah moved in to help raise the kids. In 1907 Amos remarried and Sarah & the kids moved out.
Her daughter Vera was a close cousin of my grandmother Reta Rawlings.
