William Edward "Ed" Fryar, 88, of Colorado City died Wednesday in a local hospital Services were scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Cawthon and the Rev Glenda Johnson officiating Burial was in Dorn Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr Fryar was born March 17, 1908 in Honey Grove, Texas. He married Dovie Marie Howell on March 31, 1929 in Colorado City. A former federal employee in Phoenix, Arizona, he moved to Houston in 1960, where he was a deputy sheriff for Harris County. Mr. Fryar was a member of the Dorn Methodist Church
and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He had lived in Colorado City since 1978 He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Fryar of Colorado City, one sister, Jewell Merchant of Midland and numerous nieces and nephews.
