Nita R. Herndon, age 86, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 28, 2009. She was born on June 21, 1922 in Tylertown, Mississippi.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Rowe of Little Rock, Arkansas and Sherry (John) Duggin of Maumelle, Arkansas; a sister, Faye (J.D.) King of Vidalia, Louisiana, a granddaughter, Karen (David) Seiver of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Jeff Reid, her mother, Ruby Reid, and her three brothers; Ben Reid, Bill Reid and Paul Reid. She was retired from Arkla Gas Co.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Odyssey Hospice and Dr. Gary Nunn.
