(Nettie) Shaw and they had 3 children together. Nettie died in 1899 at the age of 31. Ed later married Matilda May Mitchell in 1902 in Lawrence Co., Indiana.
He worked as a photographer and watchmaker. Although it was not diagnosed at the time, in his later years he suffered from an illness with symptoms consistent with Alzheimers. He died in 1940.
