Don't know if the informant on certificate (third wife Lou) also was responsible for headstone engraving. Burial records for Pendleton Cemetery show that G.P. Barnhart was born in 1860 and died in 1940.

G. P. (Pink) Barnhart, well known and respected farmer of the Vancleve, Maries County community, passed away at his home Friday, Dec. 20, at the age of 78 years, following a lingering illness. He leaves to mourn, his widow, five sons, Lohman of near Meta, Adam of Chilhowee, Isaac of Meyerstown, Chas. of Venus and Zephna of Vancleve; four daughters, Velva Lawson of Meyerstown, Daisy Copeland of near Vienna, Leona Schuelen and Iva Wilson of Vancleve; one brother, Dave Barnhart of Vancleve, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home and burial was in the Pendleton Cemetery.
