Herman Eugene Alewine

Herman Eugene Alewine, 54, of 209 Hardin Circle, formerly of Lavonia, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003. A native of Lavonia, Mr. Alewine was a son of Annie Lee Harris Alewine, Lavonia, and the late John "Johnny" Willis Alewine.
He worked for Kosa in Grover, N.C., and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith. The family will have a time of fellowship with friends and relatives from 2-4:30 p.m. today at Hamby Funeral Home, Lavonia.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a son, Christopher Gene Alewine, Grover, N.C.; two sisters, Elouise Donald, Lavonia, and Johnnie Sue Faulkner, Ila; three brothers, Guy Alewine, Bowman, Roy Alewine, Martin, and Kenneth Alewine, Lavonia; and two grandchildren.
