One of Chicago's oldest settlers.

Husband of Eliza Marshall Burbank by second marriage and of the late Mariah Chapin by first marriage.

Father of Amelia Ann Burbank Curtis, Lillie Burbank Goss, Annie M. Burbank, Jessie Burbank Kimmey, Abram L. Burbank, Lottie Burbank Malum, Lucy Burbank, and Grant Burbank.

Father-in-law of William T. Goss, Andrew Malum, and Peter Kimmey.

Tracy Burbank had been a longtime member of the Tippecanoe Club and many members attended his funeral service conducted by the Reverend Doctor Park. Pallbearers were W. S. Eliott, C. R. Vandercook, George Dodge, P. M. Blodgett, M. McCauley, and Philip Bonghees.

Mr. Burbank was residing at his daughter Lillie Goss' residence at 1545 West Monroe Street in Chicago.

Funeral and interment took place on Thursday, 14 December 1892.

Found in a collection of material from James B. F. Curtis and family given to Robert Beasecker Curator, Rare Books and Distinguished Collections Grand Valley State University, 1 Campus Drive, Allendale, Michigan 49506. It gives the death date as 11/12/1892 (11 December 1892).

Note: Newspaper notices give his date of death as 12 December but his gravestone and the telegram list his death on the 11th.
