Paul Raymon Adkins of McRae, Arkansas passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009 in Searcy at the age of 80 years.
He was born on August 12, 1928 to Floyd Ray Adkins and Jennie Bee Gage Adkins in Des Arc, Arkansas.
Paul made a living for his family as a machinist, and retired from Sanyo after over twenty years of service.
Loved ones surviving him are son Darrell Adkins and wife Angela of LaGrange, TX; daughters Shari Schurmann and husband Chris of Nesbit, MS, and Sheila Huntzinger of Forrest City, AR; grandchildren Dylan Adkins, Tugi Wright, Torey Harris, Bret and Kalie Huntzinger, and Matthew and Ashley Schurmann; Great-grandchildren Jacob and Blake Wright; second wife Barbara Gray Adkins Robertson; and many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Ray and Jennie Bee Adkins, and his first wife Bessie Hudnall Adkins.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Roller-Citizens Chapel in Marianna, AR at 2:30 P.M., with burial following in Marianna Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the Chapel from 1:30 to 2:30, just prior to the service.
