Obituary, published in the Muscotah Record, 16 Sep 1892: Granpa Gill died Tuesday night at the advanced age of 82 years of cancer. For a long time he was a sufferer. He has been a resident of this county for several years and was well known and highly esteemed. His remains were buried in the Reece Cemetery Wednesday and the ceremony was witnessed by a large number of friends. The sympathy of the entire neighborhood is with the family.
