---Frederick Grant Kinsey, 85, of 33 Pishkun Lane, a retired World War II Army veteran, died of natural caused Tuesday at his residence.
---A gathering of family and friends is 10 a.m. today at the Paddock Club at the Expo Park fairgrounds.
---Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory.
---Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Kunz; a son Clyde "Rusty" Kinsey of Great Falls, granddaughters Crystal Ulsh of Great Falls, Michelle (Terry) Cook of Gillette, Wyo., and Katie Burrows of Bozeman; and five great-grandchildren, Cody and Trey Ulsh of Great Falls, and Briley Tanner and Cooper Cook of Gillette.
---Grant was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Simms to Ray and Iva Kinsey. He was raised and educated in Simms, graduating from Simms High School. He married Inace Ione Bull on April 1, 1948. Grant enlisted in the Army on Jan. 8, 1943, and served in World War II, earning a World War II Victory Medal and Occupation Medal. Grant landed on Normandy Beach after D-Day. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 22, 1948.
---Grant was involved in horse racing for more than 50 years. He owned and trained horses. He also worked at Husmens, Hanson Dairy, Howard's Pizza, Eddie's Bakery and National Laundry. He also owned the Milky Way Grocery Store.
---He was a Little League coach, and was instrumental in getting Little League Baseball started in Great Falls in 1958.
---Grant never missed his granddaughter's basketball games, and was a No. 1 CMR fan.
---He was preceded in death by his wife, Inace Iona Bull on Dec. 22, 1990.
