Funeral services for Norman D. Edensten, 74, of Killeen, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church of Killeen, with the Rev. Elmer Glazner officiating.

Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Ekensten died Monday at a local hospital.

Born July 20, 1910, in Ashtabula, he had lived in Killeen since 1947. He was one of the original stockholders in Killeen Savings and Loan and at the time of his death was one of the directors on the institution. He owned and operated a variety store in Killeen for a number of years.

A member of the First United Methodist Church, Ekensten was the treasurer at the church at the time of his death. He was a member of the Killeen Kiwanis Club and the Greater Killeen Champber of Commerence Military Affairs Committee. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Grace D. Ekensten of Killeen; a brother, Clinton T. Ekensten of Ashtabula; two sisters, Lillian Highly of Lakewood, Ohio and Genevieve Crittendon of Ashtabula.

Pallbearers will be Billy D. Parker, F. W. "Bill' Beumann, Don sutton, Kenneth Kirkpatrick Sr., Bill Reeves and C. Bird.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Killeen is in charge of local arrangements.
