Nellie Gertrude Calton Voeltz Bales "Dee Dee", age 87, passed away July 21, 1997 in Taylorsville, Utah.
She was born July 29, 1909 in Sunshine, Utah to Heber J. and Hazel C. Householder Calton. She married Lester C. Voeltz, he preceded her in death. She married Ross Bales, he preceded her in death. She was a member of the LDS Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Erma Spencer, Kearns, Utah; stepson, Kent Bales, Minneapolis, MN; stepdaughter, Nancy Oliver, West Valley City; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lynn Calton, Long Beach, Calif.; Don Calton, West Valley City; sister, Faye Smith, Copperton; she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Pamela Ann Mair, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Kearns 2nd Ward, 3925 West Dimrall Dr. (5585 So.). Friends may call Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. Funeral services under the direction of Russon Brothers Mortuary.
