Dorothy Juanita Thomas Moore Tuck, 80, of 58 Lake Shore Dr., died Sunday, January 11, 2009, at her home. Born in Halifax County, VA, Mrs. Tuck was the daughter of the late William Ephriam Thomas and Leslie Janette Hupp Thomas Bebber and wife of the late Vernon V. Moore. Mrs. Tuck was a homemaker and retired from GTE. She was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Tuck is survived by her husband, Walter Lee Tuck, Sr.; three daughters, Vivian Regina Moore Pulliam and husband Eddie, of Roxboro, Brenda Moore Clayton and husband John, of Hurdle Mills, and Donna Moore Mooney and husband Craig, of Roxboro; two sons, Vernon Thomas "Tommy" Moore and wife Lori, of New Milford, PA and Roger Steven Moore and wife Betty Jo, of Yadkinville; one step-son, Walter Lee Tuck, Jr., and wife Lorraine, of Clarksville, VA; two brothers, Cary Daniel Thomas, of South Boston, VA and Carl Vance Bebber, of Montpelier, VA; one sister, Geneva Thomas Snow, of South Boston, VA; one step-brother, Jake Bebber, of South Boston, VA; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. John Howle. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Edwin Pulliam, Brian Mooney, Douglas Pulliam, James Pulliam, Russell Pulliam and Dustin Satterfield.
