MANHATTAN - Services will be Tuesday at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home here for George Alfred Eversmeier, Sr., 86, Manhattan, who died Friday in a Kansas City, Kan. hospital.
He was born Feb. 14, 1886 at Willmer, Minn., and lived in Pottawatomie County many years before he moved to Manhattan three years ago. He had been a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Fostoria Lodge No. 392, AF&AM, both at Fostoria.
He was married to the former Florence M. Wonnell. She survives. A son, George A. Eversmeier, Jr. died Sept. 8 1971.
Other survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Annabeth Striffler, Fostoria, and Mrs. Marilyn Frank, Manhattan; a sister, Mrs. Cora Mount, San Bernardino, Calif.; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Fostoria Lodge No. 392, AF&AM, will conduct graveside services at Spring Creek Cemetery at Fostoria.
