Alice Marie Bagley was my friend since we were in the fourth grade at Roosevelt School in Henryetta, Oklahoma. We sang a duet together in the fourth grade spring program, "Sleep Kentucky Babe." She sang soprano and I sang alto. We both had "Toni" dolls and we played with them many an hour together. When she was in the sixth grade Alice died very suddenly and without a warning. Everyone was devastated to lose our beautiful little friend. She was the precious daughter of Basil and Marie Bagley and the sister of Bill Basil Bagley of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and she belonged to the First Christian Church in Henryetta. We joined the church together. She is forever in the hearts of her kin and friends. Her parents and brother are now deceased and there is no one left to put flowers on her grave but me.
