Inez Brunegraff, 98, of 115-18th St., died at 8:51 a.m. today in Chase
Convalescent Center.
Born Dec. 28, 1890, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Wilson R.
"Wils" and Emma Conner Berry. She was married June 16, 1919, in
Logansport to Herman Brunegraff, who died in 1967.
She retired in 1960, after teaching English for 40 years.
She attended Calvary Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of Old Towne chapter of the Daughters of the
American Revolution, the Cass County Retired Teachers Association,
Epsilon Sigma Omicron sorority, Progressive and Mental Culture Clubs,
and Poets Corner of Indianapolis.
Her father, Wils Berry, was a well-known artist from Cass County.
She was the first representative of the Golden Agers to attend state
meetings on the care of the aged.
Surviving are one son, Wilson R. "Bill," New Orleans, La.; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
Four brothers preceded in death.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in McCloskey-Hamilton Gundrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Phleger officiating. Burial
will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8,p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
