Floyd "Doc" Hawkins , 82, of Hanley Road, died Saturday at home after a long illness. Born in Clay, Mr. Hawkins lived in Baldwinsville for many years before moving to Hannibal 22 years ago. He retired from the Baldwinsville school district after many years of service. His son, Raymond, died in 1978. Surviving are his wife, the former Geraldine Countryman; a son, Richard D. of Hannibal; three daughters, Deanna Moore of Clay, Geraldine Oemcke and Carol Lee Curtis, both of Baldwinsville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gates Funeral Home, the Rev. Bob Homer officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m today at the funeral home, 29 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville.
Contributions may be made to the Oswego County Hospice of Central New York.
