About 1829 she was married in New York, probably Batavia, to Abner Bowe a widower with a lot of children by his first wife Waite Rhodes Lippitt.
They moved to North Bloomfield, Ohio, then Parkman, Ohio, Then Trumbull, OH where Abner died. She moved to Geneva near her brother Lucious O. Bissell and lived with her two unmarried daughters, Emily and Nina.
The Methodist church in Geneva had a stained glass window donated by Sally and Nina, and it is in the left rear part of the sanctuary (Northwest). Their house has been replaced by a medical office building.
