Ruth N. Kratzer, 88, a resident of Heritage Manor in Chillicothe, formerly of Oak Hill, Lawn Ridge, and Peoria, died at 3:02 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Proctor Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Elmwood to Charles Voyle Wolf and Libby Merle Weidner Wolf.
Surviving are one son, Gary (and Pam) of Princeville; one daughter, Wendy (and Rick) Bassett of Seabrook Island, S.C.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Emerick of Elmwood and Mildred (and Willis) Spafford of Yates City.
She was preceded in death by one son, Phillip.
She was a bookkeeper for Super X and Kroger stores at Wisconsin Plaza in Peoria for more than 35 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Mossville.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Elmwood.
