Phoebe Cordelia "Delia" Macomber was the daughter of Cyrus Macomber (May 7 1803 - April 12 1881) and Jane Colister Macomber (Nov 11 1806 - Jan 21 1891; dau of Robert Colister and Phebe Sharpsteen) of Canadice, New York. They are both buried in Bald Hill Cemetery, Canadice, along with two younger sisters of Delia's, Nancy (1838-1853) and Elizabeth (1842-1862). These four Macomber family members are also listed in this site.

Aside from these two younger sisters, she had an older brother, Shepard, and older sister, Emily Stoddard. Her youngest sister was Mary Eveline Hickok.
