BRYANT, Larry W. age 54 of Englewood, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton following a brief illness. Larry retired as a firefighter from the City of Trotwood after more than 28 years of service. He currently was in the transportation department as a bus driver for Kettering City Schools for 9 years. He was a graduate of Miami Jacobs Business College where he received his degree and certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist. He was active for many years with the Trotwood Boys Baseball Club as a coach and also as the President of the Umpires Association. He is survived by his wife: Helen Bryant, son: Larry W. Bryant II. of Englewood, daughter: Renee Bryant of Trotwood, brothers and sister-in-law: Keith & Cami Bryant of Butler Twp., Russell Jones of TN, sisters and brother-in-law: Katie & Ernest Blair of KY, Barbara Faye Bryant of Seaman, OH, 6 grandchildren, and many other family members and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: James & Helen (Farmer) Bryant, and a brother: Gary Michael Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Shade Hackney officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
