The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel, 976 Phillips Ave., High Point.
Ms. Moore was born July 20, 1945, in Davidson County, the daughter of Claude Damascus and Florence Weavil Moore. She graduated from Ledford High School. She was a homemaker who was formerly married to Jimmy Ridge for seven years and Robert Mermelstein for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, puzzles and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her father and a son, David Scott Ridge.
Survivors include her mother, Florence Weavil Moore of High Point; two sons, Raymond Brian Ridge and his wife, Gayle, of Lexington and Jay Mermelstein with Tina Wunderlich of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a former daughter-in-law, Carla Atwell of Archdale; five sisters, Jewel Little and her husband, Jim, of High Point, Velma Munday and her husband, Von, of Advance, Kat Myers and her husband, Ted, of High Point, Martha Moore of High Point, and Debbie Edwards of Monroe; five granddaughters, Kristen Ridge of Archdale, Kaley Ridge of Archdale, Jennifer Murdico of Lincolnton, Anne Dawson and her husband, Robbie, of Lake City, Fla., and Kristine Mansfield of Carlisle, Pa.; three great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
