Kannapolis - Charles Moody Beaver, age 76, of 309 Ann Street, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at his home after a period of declining health.

He was born September 30, 1932 in Iredell County, NC, the son of the late Coy Douglas Beaver and Jennie Mae Rippy Beaver.

He was a graduate of The Citadel, Charleston, SC and N.C. State University.

He was employed in electrical engineering in Lynchburg, VA for 20 years until his retirement.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Jennie Lynn Beaver Richardson.

The graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord, NC officiated by Rev. Richard Rhoades.

The family will be at the home a his niece, Lynn R. Mena, 300 Odell Drive, Kannapolis, NC the remainder of the time.

Survivors include his niece, Lynn Mena and husband, David of Kannapolis, NC and a nephew, Brian Richardson and wife, April of Concord, NC; and two great-nieces and a great-nephew.
