Tacoma, Washington
June 1907
Charles Raby, a well known young man of Sedro-Woolley, Wash., was killed by a falling tree May 20th, while working at a logging camp operated by the Sedro-Woolley Excelsior Company at that place. They were moving a yarding engine in the woods and had fastened the cable to a dead spruce. Just as they neared the position sought for the tree fell directly across Mr. Raby, killing him instantly. Charles Raby was an industrious and temperate young fellow about eighteen years of age. He resided with his parents abut one mile east of Sedro-Woolley.
