The funeral service for 100-year-old Viola Catherine Becker of Springville will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Megan Huston will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today and after noon Saturday.

Becker died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Martin (Tenn.) Healthcare Center.

Born March 11, 1911, in Bement, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Minnie Pearl Poundstone Alexander.

She was married in 1927 to Everett L. Becker, who died Dec. 17, 1991.

She attended Antioch United Methodist Church. She formerly worked at Trolinger's and Uncle Lee's in Paris and for several years for General Electric in Decatur, Ill. A family member said she enjoyed crafts.

She leaves one daughter: Betty Spears of Paris; two sons: Larry (Betty) Becker and Gary (Bonnie) Decker, both of Decatur; a daughter-in-law: Marilyn Becker of Springville; 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a son: Leland Becker; a son-in-law: Walter Spears; and two brothers: Dale and Ray Alexander.
