Walter Gant was found dead, on the Frisco railroad tracks, two miles south of Hayti, last Wednesday. It is believed that he was killed by one of the Frisco trains.
The body was brought here to the Smith Undertaking Parlor, and the funeral was held from that place. Rev. Bailey conducted the funeral services. Most all the members of the Christian church of this city and several relatives and friends from Holland and Steele attended the funeral. Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Gant leaves a wife and two small children in St. Louis, his mother, at Clifton, Tenn., and a sister, Mrs. Alice Davis, of Steele, Mo.
The Republican extends sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.
