Matthew Evers, 83, Logansport, died Monday, March 10, 1980, at Memorial Hospital there.
Born in Whiting March 20, 1896, he was the son of Gearhart and Matilda Evers. His wife, Stella Wilson Morgan Evers, died March 24, 1976.
A World War I veteran, he was retired from Midwest Plating.
Surviving are two sons, Richard, Logansport, and Thomas, El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Cora Belle Harmon, Galveston, and Betty Trainer, Logansport; a stepson, Raymond Morgan, a stepdaughter, Mary Conrad, and one sister, Catherine Bryant, all of Logansport; 22 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. One daughter, one stepson, two sisters, one brother, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild are deceased.
Services will be at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
