Edward was married April 24, 1780 in Middletown CT, to Ruth Hubbard b April 9, 1756 Middletown CT, daughter of Hezekiah Hubbard and Ruth Center.
He enlisted with the Connecticut Militia.
After the war he moved to Thetford, Vermont for a few years, where his first 4 children were born between 1781 and 1788. His last child was born in 1797 in Hartwick, New York. His children were Edward (IV), Ruth, Abner, Daniel, and Oliver H.
He was placed on the Revolutionary war pension roll Jan 10, 1829, aged 77 years. After his death in 1842, his widow Ruth received his pension, and she died in 1844.
Edward's stone, if it exists, was not to be found when my family visited the cemetery.
