Death was caused by the flu that developed into pnuemonia. He showed some improvement on Sunday, so his death the next day came as a surprise.
Abe, one the prominent young men of Lebanon, was known to all his friends for his good qualities. He was a member of the Candock Sunday School at the time of his death and will be greatly missed there, as well as his sweet talented voice.
He was held in great esteem,as shown by the great number who attended the funeral and the many and beautiful flowers.
Mrs. F.H. Stith, J.C. Scott, Maudie Weber, Ernest Weber, Noble Limeick, John Thomas and Rev. D.E. Fields, sang, "Some Day We'll Know", "There Will be No Dark Valley", "When I Get to the End of the Way" and "Nearer My God to Thee".
Mrs. Stith sang, "Lead Kindly Light"and "He Leads Me Still" and Rev. Fields sang "Does Jesus Care"
These were all favorite gospel songs of Abe's.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D.E. Fields and burial was in the Atchley Cemetery.
