John A. Atchley, passed away Friday evening at his home.
He had been in failing health for the past two years, but became seriously ill about two months ago, suffering with kidney trouble.
Funeral services were held 10am Sunday at the home in the Candock neighborhood with Mrs. Myrtle Landis officiating.

A large crowd attended the graveside services, where Mrs.Landis preached an inspiring and comforting sermon to the bereaved family. The choir sang, "Some Day We'll Know", "No Night There" and "Sweet Bye and Bye"
