His Obit from the Buffalo Reflex:
Jonathan Francis Pinegar, son of John and Cathran Pinegar, was born in Webster County, Missouri, Feb. 22, 1861, and departed this life Sept. 1, 1934, at the home of his son, John Pinegar, of Fair Grove, R-1, being at the time of his death 73 years, 6 months and 11 days of age.
In early life he professed a hope in Christ but never united with any church.
In the year 1882 he was united in marriage to Anna Vincent. To this union twelve children were born, six boys and six girls. The companion and six children preceded him in death. Those surviving are: William Pinegar of Springfield, R-1, John Pinegar of Fair Grove, George Pinegar of Portersville, Calif., Mrs. Ida Keller of Terra Bella, Calif., Mrs. Abbie Taylor, Springfield, Mo., and Gladys Chandler of Springfield, Mo.
On March 10, 1910 he was again untied in marriage to Lulu Stone, to which union two children were born, Hazel Pinegar of the home survives him, and an infant son, with the companion, preceded him in death.
He is survived by the seven children above mentioned, twenty-two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren besides a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a good neighbor, a loving father, and a faithful companion, and will be greatly missed in the community.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday by Rev. Chas. Claspill at Red Top where burial followed under direction of L. B. Jones.
