Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Laird, 85, of 124 north Seventh street, will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Bruces Memorial chapel.

The Rev. Dennis Slaathaug, pastor of the Congregational church at Kalo, will officiate. Burial will be in North Lawn cemetery.

Mrs. Laird died Wednesday morning at Mercy hospital. In failing health for the past year she entered the hospital a week ago for medical treatment.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter. They are Virgil E. Laird of Otho; Wesley C. Laird of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Raymond Mayfield of Duluth, Minn. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren, and two brothers, William Vinsant of Des Moines and Richard Vinsant of Webster City.

Preceding Mrs. Laird in death were her husband, Charles T. Laird, who died May 23, 1958, three daughters, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two brothers.

Mrs. Laird was born Aug. 27, 1875, in Ray county, Mo., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Vinsant. She attended the schools of that area and was married there Oct. 31, 1897 to Charles Laird.

In 1901 the Lairds came to Iowa to Hamilton county and in 1903 they moved to Webster county. Mrs. Laird had made her home in the Fort Dodge area since that time.

Mrs. Laird was a member of the Methodist church in Knoxville, Mo.
