Cecil "Stewart" Davidson Jr., 53, of the Burrville community in Morgan County, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, in his home.

A former police officer, Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer and TVA boilermaker, he was a member of Mount Vernon Methodist Church, Burrville.

He was preceded in death by son, Carl Stewart Davidson.

Survivors include mother and father, Zylphia "Zip" and Cecil S. Davidson Sr. of Burrville; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie and Nathan LaRue and Chelsa Duncan of Oneida; son, Tristan Davidson of Burrville; granddaughter, Ava Rose LaRue; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie Kennedy of Burrville; nieces and family, Rhonda and Don Makins of Oak Ridge and Tammy and Ivory Hamby of Sunbright; and uncle and aunt, Bill Jr. and Juanita Hall of Newark, Del.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, in Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright. Funeral service will follow, with Bro. Wayne Cromwell officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Mount Vernon Church Cemetery, Burrville, with Bro. Frank Kirby officiating.
