Mrs. Cook was a member and former president of Progress Circle of King's Daughters and was an honorary member of Child and Family Services.
Her paternal grandfather, Captain John Cook, was the son of Daniel Pope Cook who served as secretary of state and congressman from Illinois and whom after Cook County was named.
The paternal grandmother, Julia Edwards Cook, was the daughter of Ninian Edwards, first governor of the Illinois territory.
She is survived by several cousins.
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church where she was a lifelong member. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 5-20-1968
